Here's a secret: I have a Gym membership.
Well, not a total secret, but since I'm in Boot Camp, I haven't been going to the Gym like I should be. Well today, I decided, since I'm getting stronger, I'm going to go to the gym and try a class. I chose BodyPump based on the time being convenient for my schedule. So off I go, drive to the gym after work, get there about 10 minutes before the class starts, get in my gym clothes, walk into the class not knowing what to expect, and all I can say is OUCH.
BodyPump = Full weights class.
I haven't lifted actual weights for a couple years, so this was a total shock to my poor injured body. 60 minutes of lifting barbells, deadlifts, bicep curls, tricep curls, pushups, situps, lunges, squats... everything painful in life.
Overall, would I do it again? Yes, yes I would, because although it was painful, it was one hell of a workout. The instructor's ripped body speaks to the results, plus she was really nice 'cause I was new, so she helped me out a lot during the class.
Well now that I've successfully completed a class of BodyPump, I will try AquaFit next week. I love swimming, so it can't be that bad.
